The rhythm is simple: two nights in Ho Chi Minh City, two in Mui Ne, two in Nha Trang and three in Hoi An. You travel onwards from Mui Ne to Nha Trang, then fly from Cam Ranh to Da Nang for Hoi An. There is a full free day at each beach stop and another in Hoi An, giving you space for a pool morning, a long lunch or an experience you choose yourself.

Meet your local representative at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and transfer to your hotel. The first afternoon is kept light so you can recover from your flight, freshen up and settle into the city. After breakfast, leave the city for the Cu Chi Tunnels. Explore the historical site with your guide and learn how the underground network supported life during the war. Entering the narrow tunnel sections is optional; visitors who prefer to stay above ground can follow the surface exhibits.
After lunch, return to Ho Chi Minh City for the Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum and Central Post Office, with time for Ben Thanh Market as the day allows. Travel by private vehicle from Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne. This is an overland transfer day, with a rest stop on the way and the route chosen for your hotel locations and current road conditions. You continue towards the coast rather than returning to the city after sightseeing.

Transfer to Cam Ranh Airport for your flight to Da Nang, then continue by road to Hoi An. We check a suitable flight for your dates before confirming the programme. Vietnam Airlines publishes an indicative flying time of about 1 hour 15 minutes for the direct Cam Ranh to Da Nang route; airport transfers and check in require additional time.
Once you have checked into your hotel, settle into Hoi An. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a quiet afternoon or a first evening walk through the old town, where lanterns brighten the streets after dark. Prefer Da Nang beachfront hotels or easier access to Ba Na Hills and the airport? We can use Da Nang as your central coast base instead and arrange your Hoi An visits from there. Head into the countryside for a day around Tra Que village and the coconut palm waterways near Hoi An. Cycle along local lanes, visit the vegetable gardens and meet local hosts. Tell us in advance if anyone prefers a vehicle transfer instead of cycling so the programme can be adapted and priced accordingly.
Continue towards the fishing village and Bay Mau coconut forest for the basket boat activity described in your final programme. Return to your hosts for lunch and a hands on introduction to local cooking. The menu follows the ingredients available and the dietary needs you have shared with us.

Your last full day has no scheduled sightseeing. Return to the old town for coffee and browsing, spend time at the beach or simply enjoy your hotel. This spare day gives the trip a relaxed finish rather than another early departure.
For a bigger day out, choose Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge: ride into the hills, enjoy the bridge and spend time at the attractions that appeal to your group. We can replace this free day with the excursion and adjust the hotel base if Da Nang suits you better. Or keep the day for Hoi An beaches and old town. Overnight in Hoi An in the sample route.
Transfer from Hoi An to Da Nang Airport for the domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh City and your onward departure. The indicative flying time is about 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, before airport and transfer time.
Send your international flight details before confirming the itinerary. We check the domestic connection, terminal, baggage arrangements and the time needed between flights. Separate tickets may require baggage collection and a new check in; do not book a short connection without checking it with us. A version ending in Da Nang can be quoted if that fits your international flights better.

Your written quote names the hotels or agreed alternatives, the room types and the occupancy used for pricing. Family rooms, connecting rooms and sea views are confirmed according to availability.
For the central coast, choose Hoi An for evenings in the old town and easy access to the village day, or Da Nang for a beachfront base with a convenient airport departure. We recommend one base for these three nights, so you can enjoy your holiday without another hotel move. The room and transfer plan follows the base you choose.
February to August typically gives the most favourable overlap between Nha Trang and Hoi An for a coast focused trip. Nha Trang is usually sunnier from January to August and wetter from September to December. Hoi An is generally sunnier from February to August; rain is more common from September to January, with storm and flooding risk especially in September to November. Ho Chi Minh City has a drier period from December to April and a rainy season from May to November.
For Australian school holidays, April and June or July are useful starting points for this route. December and January need more careful hotel and activity choices around the central coast; ask us to compare another beach option if warm beach time is your main priority. Swimming and boat activities follow local conditions on the day.
