Welcome to Vietnam - Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and transferred to your downtown hotel for check-in.
Once settled in (from 2:00 pm onwards), you'll have leisure time to explore the vibrant city center and immerse yourself in the youthful energy of Ho Chi Minh City.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
At 8:30 AM, following breakfast at your hotel, your private guide will meet you in the lobby. A 1.5-hour drive brings you to the Cu Chi Tunnels, where you'll explore a complex network spanning over 200km. These tunnels served as crucial shelters for guerrillas during the conflict with American troops.
After lunch at a local restaurant, the afternoon continues with a city tour. Highlights include the Reunification Hall, formerly the Presidential Palace, where Communist tanks entered on April 30, 1975, marking the fall of Saigon. This modern building holds vivid historical significance.
The tour also visits the War Remnants Museum, the Old Post Office, Chinatown, and Ben Thanh Market - a bustling hub.
Around 4:30 PM, the tour concludes, and you'll return to your hotel for relaxation. Enjoy an overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.
At around 7:00 - 7:30 AM, we will pick you up from your Saigon hotel and transfer you to the pier in Can Tho. You'll board your traditional wooden river cruise boat around noon. After a refreshing welcome drink, we'll introduce you to our onboard amenities and your comfortable cabin.
Lunch will be served around 12:00 noon, followed by the start of our cruising journey. Relax and take in the stunning scenery and the daily rhythms of life among the Mekong people.
In the afternoon, disembark for a guided leisurely walk through the village, surrounded by fruit orchards or rice fields. Meet the welcoming locals and sample their produce and fruits.
Return to the boat and unwind with a drink at the bar or enjoy the sunset on deck, soaking in the breathtaking water landscape. The boat will anchor for the night, concluding with a delightful onboard dinner at 7:00 PM.
Overnight on cruise.
Awaken refreshed to the soothing sounds of the river, preparing for another thrilling day of exploration. Depart at 6:30 AM for a sunrise cruise, observing locals engaged in their daily routines of drying exotic fruits and constructing ships on wooden docks while enjoying an early breakfast.
Afterward, navigate the serene waterways aboard a small rowing sampan to discover local dwellings, lush orchards, and boat-building yards. Alternatively, explore the nearby town on foot or cycle through the charming side canals.
The vessel continues its journey as lunch is served. In the afternoon, embark on another excursion to an exotic village or verdant plantation along the route. As the boat docks near Tra On Island, unwind with another tranquil evening and overnight stay aboard your river cruiser.
