Meet your driver at the confirmed Ho Chi Minh City airport meeting point and transfer by private car to your hotel. This airport transfer is without a guide in the sample package.

Explore the Independence Palace and Central Post Office, with a look at the Notre Dame Cathedral area. Visit the War Remnants Museum for an introduction to Vietnam’s modern history. Your guide can adjust the museum visit for your children’s ages.
After lunch at a local restaurant, travel to Cu Chi. Learn how the underground network supported daily life during the war and explore the visitor areas with your guide. Entering a tunnel section is optional; enjoy the outdoor explanations and try the traditional tea and cassava instead if you prefer.
Return to Ho Chi Minh City for the night. The final sightseeing order follows the day’s opening arrangements and city traffic.
Travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Ben Tre and board a local boat on the Chet Say River. Visit coconut workshops and family businesses, seeing how shells and coir become everyday crafts. Experience village lanes by local xe loi transport and enjoy lunch at a local home or restaurant.
Take a smaller rowing boat through a natural canal, then continue onwards to Tra Vinh. Visit the Con Chim community tourism area for a relaxed encounter with local life. Choose an easy cycle or village walk to suit your family.
Return to the mainland and check into your confirmed Tra Vinh accommodation. Dinner is included in the sample programme. Overnight in Tra Vinh; this route does not overnight in Can Tho.
After breakfast, discover Tra Vinh’s mat weaving tradition and Khmer cultural heritage. The sample route includes Ang Pagoda, Ba Om Pond and the Khmer culture museum, with the order adjusted to local opening arrangements.
Visit a coconut nectar producer to learn about this local craft when the visit is available. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then return to Ho Chi Minh City for the night. This is a Tra Vinh cultural day, not a Cai Rang floating market visit.
After breakfast, transfer to Ho Chi Minh City airport for your confirmed flight to Cam Ranh, the airport serving Nha Trang. Airfares are excluded from the starting land package unless added to your written quote.

On arrival, meet your driver and transfer to your confirmed Hanoi accommodation. Keep the evening easy ahead of tomorrow’s bay journey. Lunch and dinner are at your own choice. Overnight in Hanoi.
After breakfast, depart Hanoi for the confirmed cruise harbour. Join your selected boat, settle into your cabin and enjoy lunch while limestone islands pass across the bay.
The afternoon follows your boat’s programme, with a cave visit, kayaking or a local boat excursion and time to relax on deck. Swimming and kayaking are offered where the cruise route and conditions allow; your family can enjoy the boat instead.
Join an onboard cooking activity if scheduled, then share dinner and spend the night on the cruise. The exact stops and times depend on the boat confirmed in your quotation.
Wake up to the bay and join an early Tai Chi session if it is in your cruise programme. Enjoy breakfast, further sightseeing or time on deck, then brunch before returning to the harbour.
Transfer back towards Hanoi. The starting programme connects with an evening sleeper bus to Ha Giang; the meeting point, rest arrangements and departure time are confirmed before booking.
This is a long transfer day. For a more restful family journey, ask for a private road transfer or an extra night and revised itinerary. Overnight arrangements depend on the service in your confirmed quote; a sleeper bus is not a hotel night.
After breakfast and a briefing with your local guide, begin the mountain loop. The sample route passes Bac Sum and Quan Ba Heaven Gate, with viewpoints over the Twin Mountains and a Lung Khuy Cave visit where it fits your chosen route and pace.
Enjoy lunch around Tam Son, then discover the linen weaving tradition in Lung Tam and continue through village scenery towards Du Gia. A guided car version can be arranged instead of a motorbike service and is priced in your family’s quote.
Check into the confirmed Du Gia homestay and enjoy a local dinner. Leave the evening for the landscape, conversation and rest. Any waterfall or water activity is chosen locally for the conditions and your family; jumping from rocks is not part of the promised programme.
After breakfast, travel through the mountain landscape with your guide. The sample route includes a village stop around the Du Gia area, time for local life and breaks between road sections.
Continue towards Mau Due and Meo Vac, with lunch along the route. Discover the dramatic scenery around Ma Pi Leng and pause at suitable viewpoints before continuing to Dong Van.
Check into your confirmed Dong Van hotel or homestay and enjoy dinner. Your guide chooses stops to suit road conditions and the daily pace agreed for your family.
After breakfast, visit the Vuong family residence, often called the Hmong King’s Palace. Continue through the Yen Minh area on the return route to Ha Giang, with village and viewpoint breaks where they fit the road journey.
Have lunch en route and arrive in Ha Giang with time to rest and freshen up before your confirmed onward transfer. The starting programme returns towards Hanoi by overnight bus; a private transfer and revised rest arrangements can be quoted.
Keep the next day flexible after the road journey. We confirm transport, pickup points and overnight arrangements in writing rather than treating a bus journey as a hotel night.

Allow an easy arrival day after your international flight. This sample route has several changes of region and an adventurous mountain section. Tell us about your children’s ages, motion sickness, mobility and preferred comfort. We can shorten sightseeing days, choose a car for the mountain loop or replace that section with a gentler stay.
Keep the Mekong visits connected: travel from Ben Tre onwards to Tra Vinh before returning to Ho Chi Minh City for the Nha Trang flight. Cam Ranh is the airport for Nha Trang. Published Vietnam Airlines guidance puts Ho Chi Minh City–Cam Ranh at about 55–75 minutes in the air, and Cam Ranh–Hanoi at around two hours; airport transfers and formalities add time. We check actual flights for your dates. The sample programme uses an overnight road connection after the cruise and another after the Ha Giang loop. Discuss a private transfer or extra rest night if your family prefers to avoid these.
Bring comfortable shoes, sun protection, a light rain layer and a small overnight bag for the cruise. Mountain temperatures can feel different from the coast, so pack an extra layer. Let us know food allergies and swimming confidence. Follow the crew’s instructions and use life jackets on boat activities. Cave steps and mountain roads are part of this route; choose the activities that suit your family. You do not need to self ride a motorbike to enjoy Ha Giang.
